  About the Firm

Ebanks ? Taylor ? Horne ? L.L.P. ("ETH") is located in downtown Houston, Texas. Although we are just a few blocks from the Harris County Courthouse, ETH is dedicated to the law and service to our clients everywhere in Texas and across the country. With trial lawyers that have personal reputations for hard-work and quality legal representation over the past twenty-five years, clients rely on our ability to meet their needs for legal services. Through its founding members, James D. Ebanks and A. David Carlson, ETH offers a legacy built on a solid foundation of legal knowledge, skill and courtroom expertise.

James D. Ebanks is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in both Personal Injury Trial Law and Civil Trial Law. He is a Diplomate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and a Level I Member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel. He has more than 125 jury trials and is AV rated by the prestigious Martindale-Hubbell organization. He is licensed in both Texas and Tennessee.

A. David Carlson is licensed in both Texas and Florida. He has over 200 jury trials and is currently serving as mediator in the Circuit Courts and also maintains an active litigation practice. He has handled several high profile cases including the federal litigation involving the Branch Davidians as well as serving as a consultant to the FBI in the matters of Ruby Ridge.

Marvin C. Moos has handled numerous appeals in intermediate state and federal appellate courts on a variety of issues, including one case to the United States Supreme Court in litigation against the United States Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. His other appellate work includes appeals and extraordinary writs in intermediate Texas appellate courts, the Texas Supreme Court, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the First, Fifth, Federal and District of Columbia Circuits. His litigation experience includes commercial litigation in oil and gas matters relating to liability for failed pipe in oil wells, fraud in the sale of royalty and working interests, and indemnification issues relating to accidents at the well site or on offshore rigs. He also has represented a variety of Federal law enforcement officers in civil rights and Bivens actions throughout the United States.
